حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زِمَامٍ ثنا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ أَحَبَّ الْبِلَادِ إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ مَكَّةُ وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمِي أَخْرَجُونِي مَا خَرَجْتُ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَدِينَةِ مِثْلَ مَا جَعَلْتَ فِي قُلُوبِنَا مِنْ حُبِّ مَكَّةَ» وَمَا أَشْرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ قَطُّ إِلَّا عُرِفَ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْبِشْرُ وَالْفَرَحُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I know that the most beloved land to Allah is Mecca, and if it were not for my people forcing me out, I would not have left. O Allah, make the love of Medina in our hearts as you have made the love of Mecca in our hearts." And whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached Medina, his face would be recognized with delight and joy.
