حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ نَاسًا أَغَارُوا عَلَى إِبِلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَاسْتَاقُوهَا وَارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُؤْمِنًا «فَبَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي آثَارِهِمْ فَأُخِذُوا فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ» يُقَالُ هَذَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَيُقَالُ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

✧ Some people raided the camels of the Prophet ﷺ, drove them away, apostatized from Islam, and killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a believer. The Prophet ﷺ sent after them, and they were captured. He cut off their hands and feet and put out their eyes. It is said that this is ʿUbayd Allah b. ʿAbd Allah b. ʿUmar, and it is said ʿUbayd Allah b. ʿAbd Allah b. ʿUtbah, and Allah knows best.
