حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو صَدَقَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ لَقِيَ مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ عَلَى حِمَارٍ سَاقِطَةٍ أُذُنَاهَ رَثِّ السُّرُجِ وَالثِّيَابِ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَالِمٌ مِمَّنِ الرَّجُلُ؟ فَقَالَ مِنْكَ وَإِلَيْكَ وَمِنْ بَعْضِ مَوَالِيكَ فَقَالَ
حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخُونُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُهُ فِي مُصِيبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ بِهِ وَإِنْ يَلْفَ خِيَارَ الْعَرَبِ وَالْمَوَالِي يُحِبُّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا حُبًّا لَا يَجِدُونَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بُدًّا وَإِنْ يَلْفَ شِرَارَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ يُبْغِضُ بَعْضُهُمْ بُغْضًا لَا يَجِدُونَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بُدًّا»

✧ Narrate to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "Indeed the Muslim is the brother of the Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor betray him, nor abandon him in a calamity that befalls him. And if he encounters the best of the Arabs and the mawali, they will love one another with a love from which they find no escape. And if he encounters the worst of the two groups, they will hate one another with a hatred from which they find no escape."
