حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا مَاتَ مَيِّتٌ قَالَ «قَدِّمُوهُ عَلَى فَرَطِنَا نِعْمَ الْفَرَطُ لِأُمَّتِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونَ»
Translation

✧ When a deceased person died, the Messenger of God ﷺ would say: “Send him ahead to our forerunner. How excellent a forerunner for my community is Uthman b. Maz‘un.”
