حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّرْحِ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقَطَّانُ الْمِصْرِيَّانِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِابْنِ صَيَّادٍ وَهُوَ يَلْعَبُ مَعَ الصِّبْيَانِ فَضَرَبَهُ بِقَدَمِهِ فَقَالَ «أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ؟» فَقَالَ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ رَسُولُ الْأُمِّيِّينَ قَالَ أَفَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Ibn Sayyad while he was playing with the boys, and he struck him with his foot and said, "Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?" Ibn Sayyad said, "I bear witness that you are the Messenger of the unlettered ones." He said, "Then do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I believe in Allah and His messengers."
