حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِّي أَحْرَمْتُ وَقَدْ جَمَعْتُ شَعْرِي فَقَالَ أَمَا سَمِعْتَ عُمَرَ فِي خِلَافَتِهِ قَالَ مَنْ ضَفَّرَ رَأْسَهُ أَوْ لَبَّدَهُ فَلْيَحْلِقْ؟ قَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِّي لَمْ أُضَفِّرْهُ وَلَكِنِّي جَمَعْتُهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «عَنْزٌ وَتَيْسٌ وَتَيْسُ عَنْزٍ»

✧ “O Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman, I have entered ihram and I have gathered my hair.” He said, “Did you not hear ʿUmar during his caliphate say: Whoever braids his head or mats it should shave it?” He said, “O Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman, I did not braid it, but I gathered it.” Ibn ʿUmar said, “A she-goat and a he-goat, and the he-goat of a she-goat.”
