حَدَّثَنَا طَاهِرُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ قَيْرَسٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ وَاللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَلَقِيَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ فَقَالَ سَأُخْبِرُكَ
عَنِ الْخَمْرِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ مُحَْبتي حَلَّ حَبْوَتَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ شَيْءٌ فَلْيُؤْذِنِّي بِهِ» فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَأْتُونَهُ فَيَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمْ عِنْدِي رَاوِيَةُ خَمْرٍ وَيَقُولُ الْآخَرُ عِنْدِي رَاوِيَةٌ وَيَقُولُ الْآخَرُ عِنْدِي زُقَاقٌ وَمَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اجْمَعُوهُ بِبَقِيعِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ثُمَّ آذِنُونِي» & فَقَامَ وَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ فَمَشَيْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَيَّ فَلَحِقَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَأَخَذَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَجَعَلَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَكَانِي ثُمَّ لَحِقَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَأَخَذَهُ فَجَعَلَهُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَمَشَى بَيْنَهما حَتَّى إِذَا وَقَفَ عَلَى الْخَمْرِ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ «أَتَعْرِفُونَ هَذِهِ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذِهِ الْخَمْرُ قَالَ «صَدَقْتُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ لَعَنَ الْخَمْرَ وَعَاصِرَهَا وَمُعْتَصِرَهَا وَشَارِبَهَا وَسَاقِيَهَا وَآكِلَ ثَمَنِهَا» ثُمَّ دَعَا بِسِكِّينٍ فَقَالَ «اشْحَذُوهَا» فَفَعَلُوا ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فخْرِقُ الْأَزْقَاقَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ إِنَّ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَزْقَاقِ مَنْفَعَةً فَقَالَ «أَجَلْ وَلَكِنِّي إِنَّمَا أَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ غَضَبًا لِلَّهِ لِمَا فِيهَا مِنْ سَخْطَةٍ» قَالَ وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَزِيدُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ فِي الْحَدِيثِ

✧ Regarding wine: I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque. While he was talking intimately, he undid his wrap, then said: “Whoever has any wine, let him inform me.” The people began coming to him; one said, “I have a wineskin of wine”; another said, “I have a waterskin”; another said, “I have a small skin,” and whatever Allah willed that they had. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Gather it in Baqiʿ of such-and-such, then inform me.” He stood and I stood with him, walking on his right, while he leaned on me. Abu Bakr caught up with us, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took me and placed me on his left and put Abu Bakr in my place. Then Umar b. al-Khattab caught up with us, and he took him and placed him on his left, so he walked between the two of them until, when he stood over the wine, he said to the people: “Do you recognize this?” They said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah, this is wine.” He said: “You have spoken the truth. Allah has cursed wine, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, its drinker, its server, and the one who consumes its price.” Then he called for a knife and said: “Sharpen it.” They did so. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and began slashing the wine skins. The people said: “There is benefit in these skins.” He said: “Yes, but I only do this out of anger for Allah because of the displeasure that is in it.” He said: “And some of them add to this in the hadith more than others.”
