✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The first to deny was Adam. When Allah ﷻ created him, He wiped his back and brought forth his offspring and all that He would create until the Day of Resurrection. He began presenting them to him, and he saw among them a radiant man. He said: 'O Lord, which of my sons is this?' He said: 'This is your son Dawud.' He said: 'O Lord, how long is his life?' He said: 'Sixty years.' He said: 'O Lord, increase his life.' He said: 'No, unless you give him from your own life.' Adam's life was a thousand years, and he gave him forty years from his life. He said: 'So He wrote a document for him regarding that and made the angels witnesses.' When Adam was dying, the angels came to take his soul. He said: 'Forty years of my life remain.' They said: 'You gave them to your son Dawud.' He said: 'I did not do that; I did not give him anything.' Then Allah brought down the document and the angels testified against him. So Allah completed for Adam a thousand years and completed for Dawud a hundred years."
