حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابَانَ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنٌ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَصَابَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ غَنَائِمَ فَقَسَمَ لِلنَّاسٍ فَقَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ نَلِي الْقِتَالَ وَالْغَنَائِمُ لِغَيْرِنَا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اجْتَمَعُوا فَأَتَاهُمٌ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا وَمَوْلًى لَنَا فَقَالَ «ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَمَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ» قَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاءِ وَالْبَقَرِ وَتَذْهَبُونَ أَنْتُمْ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ؟» قَالُوا قَدْ رَضِينَا
Translation

✧ I heard him say: The Prophet ﷺ obtained spoils on the day of Hunayn and distributed them to the people. The Ansar said: “We fight, but the spoils go to others.” That reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he sent word to them to gather. He came to them and said: “O assembly of Ansar, is there anyone among you other than yourselves?” They said: “No, except a son of a sister of ours and a client of ours.” He said: “The son of a people’s sister is one of them, and the client of a people is one of them.” He said: “O assembly of Ansar, are you not pleased that the people take away sheep and cattle, while you take Muhammad ﷺ?” They said: “We are pleased.”
