حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّسَائِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَأَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانُوا مُهَاجِرِينَ لِأَنَّهُمْ هَجَرُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مُهَاجِرُونَ لِأَنَّ الْمَدِينَةَ كَانَتْ دَارًا تُنْزَلُ فَجَاءُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, ʿUmar, and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were Muhajirun because they migrated away from the polytheists; and among the Ansar there were also Muhajirun, because Madinah was a place where revelation descended, and they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the night of al-ʿAqabah.
