حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ نُصَيْرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ
عَنْ يَزِيدَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ هُوَ الدَّالَانِيُّ الْوَاسِطِيُّ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَى مَرِيضٍ فَقَالَ أَسْأَلُ اللهَ الْعَظِيمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ إِلَّا بَرَأَ مَا لَمْ يَحْضُرْ أَجَلُهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ رَفَعَهُ مَرَّةً وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ

✧ From Yazīd Abū Khālid al-Dālānī al-Wāsiṭī, from al-Minhāl b. ʿAmr, from ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Ḥārith, from Ibn ʿAbbās, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever enters upon a sick person and says: ‘I ask Allah the Magnificent, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to heal you,’ then he will be cured as long as his appointed time has not arrived.” Shuʿbah said: “He raised it once and did not raise it twice.”
