حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ الْعِجْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الزِّمِّيُّ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا الْمُشْرِكَاتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ} «فَحَجَزَ النَّاسُ عَنْهُنَّ حَتَّى نَزَلَتِ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا» {الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ} «فَنَكَحَ النَّاسُ نِسَاءَ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ»

✧ This verse was revealed: {And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe.} "So the people refrained from marrying them until the verse after it was revealed." {This day good things have been made lawful to you. The food of those given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those given the Scripture. This day good things have been made lawful to you. The food of those given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those given the Scripture.} "So the people married women of the People of the Scripture."
