حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ
ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنِي مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ شَهِدَ عِنْدِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ» قُلْتُ مَا الْحَنْتَمُ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّ مَدَرٍ»

✧ Amr b. Abi Asim al-Nabil reported to us: My father reported to us from Thawr b. Yazid: Maslama b. Abi Ata reported to me from Sa'id b. Jubayr, who said: Abdullah b. Abbas and Abdullah b. Umar testified before me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ “forbade (using) gourds, vessels coated with pitch, vessels coated with tar, and hantam jars.” I said, “What is hantam?” He said, “Every (vessel made of) clay.”
