حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُنِيبِ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ جَالِسًا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ جَعَلَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ شَهْوَةً وَإِنَّ شَهْوَتِي فِي قِيَامِ هَذَا اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدٌ خَلْفِي وَإِنَّ اللهَ جَعَلَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ طُعْمَةً وَإِنَّ طُعْمَتِي هَذَا الْخُمُسُ فَإِذَا قُبِضْتُ فَهُوَ لِوُلَاةِ الْأَمْرِ مِنْ بَعْدِي»

✧ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ was sitting one day with the people around him, and he said: "Indeed Allah ﷻ has given every prophet a desire, and my desire is in standing in this night [prayer], so let no one pray behind me. And Allah has given every prophet a provision, and my provision is this fifth; so when I am taken, it belongs to the rulers of affairs after me."
