حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الْجَرَّاحِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي حَلْقَةٍ فِيهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرْنَا الْقَدَرَ فَغَضِبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا وَقَالَ لَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ فِي الْقَوْمِ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ لَأَخَذْتُهُ؛
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا بَعَثَ اللهُ نَبِيًّا فِي قَوْمٍ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ إِلَّا جَعَلَ بَعْدَهُ فَتْرَةً وَمَلَأَ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْفَتْرَةِ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah does not send a prophet among a people and then take him back except that He makes a period of slackness after him and fills Hell from that period of slackness."
