حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَشْعَثِيُّ ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْخَرَّاطِ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
فِي قَوْلِهِ {رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ مَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ} قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ احْتَجَرَهَا دُونَ النَّاسِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ أَيْضًا فَأَنَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ كَمَا أَرْزُقُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَخْلُقُ خَلْقًا لَا أَرْزُقُهُمْ أُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ اضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ {كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا}

✧ Regarding His saying {My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits—whoever of them believes in God and the Last Day} [Q 2:126], Ibn ʿAbbas said: Abraham ﷺ had reserved it exclusively for the people, so God ﷻ revealed “and whoever disbelieves as well—I will provide for them just as I provide for the believers. I create a creation and do not provide for them; I give them enjoyment for a little while, then I will compel them to the punishment of the Fire.” Then Ibn ʿAbbas recited {To each We extend, these and these, from the gift of your Lord, and the gift of your Lord is not restricted} [Q 17:20].
