حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ رَاشِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّحَّالُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْعُمَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ بَيْحَرَةُ بْنَ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَسْلَمْنَا وَسَأَلْنَاهُ أَنْ يَضَعَ عَنَّا الْعَتَمَةَ قَالَ «صَلَاةُ الْعَتَمَةِ» فَقُلْنَا إِنَّا نُشْغَلُ بِحَلْبِ إِبِلِنَا قَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ سَتَحْلِبُونَ وَتُصَلُّونَ»

✧ We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and became Muslims, and we asked him to waive the 'atamah for us. He said, “The 'atamah prayer.” We said, “We are occupied with milking our camels.” He said, “You will, if Allah wills, milk and pray.”
