حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ فِي الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَ «مَا بَالُ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَذَرَ أَنْ لَا يَتَكَلَّمَ وَلَا يَقْعُدَ وَأَنْ يَصُومَ فَقَالَ «مُرْهُ فَلْيَتَكَلَّمْ وَلْيَسْتَظِلَّ وَلْيَقْعُدْ وَلْيُتِمَّ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُ بِالْكَفَّارَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Abu Isra'il while he was standing in the sun, and said, "What is wrong with this man?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, he vowed not to speak, not to sit, and to fast." He said, "Tell him to speak, seek shade, sit, and complete his fast." He did not instruct him to offer expiation.
