✧ When the Quran descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would receive it with his tongue and lips, and from that he endured great hardship. Then Allah ﷻ sent down: {Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it} (Q 75:16), meaning: to hasten to take it. He says: {Indeed upon Us is its collection and its recitation} (Q 75:17), meaning: to collect it in your heart and that you recite it. {So when We have recited it} (Q 75:18), meaning: when We have sent it down, {then follow its recitation} (Q 75:18), meaning: listen and be silent. {Then indeed upon Us is its explanation} (Q 75:19), meaning: to make it clear by your tongue. Thus the Messenger of Allah ﷺ found relief.
