حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الْبورانيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
بَيْنَمَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَاعِدٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَمِعَ نَقِيضًا مِنْ فَوْقِهِ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ هَذَا بَابٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ لَمْ يُفْتَحْ قَطُّ إِلَّا الْيَوْمَ فَنَزَلَ مِنْهُ مَلَكٌ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَلَكٌ نَزَلَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ إِلَّا الْيَوْمَ فَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ أَبْشِرْ بِنُورَيْنِ أُوتِيتَهُمَا لَمْ يُؤْتَهُمَا نَبِيٌّ قَبْلَكَ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَخَوَاتِيمِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ لَمْ تَقْرَأْ بِحَرْفٍ مِنْهَا إِلَّا أُعْطِيتَهُ

✧ While Jibril ﷺ was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ, he heard a creaking sound from above him. He raised his head and said: “This is a gate of heaven that has been opened today, never opened before except today.” An angel descended from it, and he said: “This is an angel who has descended to the earth, never descended except today.” He greeted and said: “Rejoice in two lights that you have been given, which no prophet before you was given: the Opening of the Book and the closing verses of Surat al-Baqarah. You will not recite a single letter of them without being given it.”
