حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ «إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ صَبَّ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ» ثُمَّ قَالَ كَمْ مَرَّةً أَفْرَغْتَ عَلَى يَدَيَّ يَا شُعْبَةُ؟ قُلْتُ لَا أَدْرِي قَالَ لَا أُمَّ لَكَ وَمَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَدْرِيَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَطَهَّرُ»

✧ "He said, 'When he purifies himself from sexual impurity, he pours water with his right hand onto his left hand seven times.'" Then he said, "How many times have you poured water onto my hands, O Shu'bah?" I said, "I don't know." He said, "You have no mother and what prevents you from knowing?" Then he performed ablution for prayer and poured water over himself, and said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to purify himself."
