حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَوْسَجَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا تُوُفِّيَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ وَارِثٌ يَرِثُهُ وَلَهُ مَوْلًى الْمُتَوَفَّى أَعْتَقَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَعْطُوهُ مَالَهُ»

✧ A man died in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and no heir was found to inherit from him, while he had a client whom the deceased had freed. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Give him his wealth.”
