حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الصُّوفِيُّ ثنا حُمَيْدٌ الْخَرَّاطُ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعَلِّمُنَا هَذَا الدُّعَاءَ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us this supplication as he would teach us a sūrah from the Qur'an: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Jahannam, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the false messiah al-Dajjāl, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the grave.'
