حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقراطيسيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا عَتَّابُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ

أَنَّ الْفُقَرَاءَ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالُوا إِنَّ الْأَغْنِيَاءَ يَصُومُونَ كَمَا نَصُومُ وَيُصَلُّونَ كَمَا نُصَلِّي وَلَهُمْ أَمْوَالٌ فيتصدقونَ مِنْهَا وَيُعْتِقُونَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمْ فَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ

Translation

✧ The poor people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, the rich people fast as we fast and pray as we pray, but they also have wealth from which they give charity and free slaves." The Prophet ﷺ said to them, "When you pray, say 'Subhanallah' thirty-three times, 'Alhamdulillah' thirty-three times, and 'Allahu Akbar' thirty-four times."
