✧ A Jewish woman gave the Prophet ﷺ a roasted sheep as a gift. He ate from it, then said: “It has informed me that it is poisoned.” Bishr b. al-Bara' died from it. He sent for her and said: “What prompted you to do what you did?” She said: “I wanted to know if you were a prophet, it would not harm you, and if you were a king, I would relieve the people of you.” So he ordered her and she was killed.
