حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْمَدَنِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
«قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صَلَوَاتٍ وَسَكَتَ فِي صَلَوَاتٍ» فَنَحْنُ نَقْرَأُ فِيمَا قَرَأَ فِيهِ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَسْكُتُ فِيمَا سَكَتَ فِيهِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَلَعَلَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ فِي نَفْسِهِ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ أَيُتَّهَمُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُتَّهَمُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited aloud in some prayers and remained silent in others. So we recite in the prayers in which the Prophet of Allah ﷺ recited, and we remain silent in the prayers in which he remained silent.” It was said to him: “Perhaps the Prophet of Allah ﷺ recited to himself.” He became angry and said: “Is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to be suspected? Is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to be suspected?”
