حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّتِهِ «اللهُمَّ أَنْشُدُكَ عَهْدَكَ وَوَعْدَكَ اللهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تَعْبُدْ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ» وَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ حَسْبُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَدْ أَلْحَحْتَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ وَهُوَ فِي الدِّرْعِ فَخَرَجَ يَقُولُ «سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَى وَأَمَرُّ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim al-Baghawī
✧ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Badr while he was in his tent, 'O Allah, I adjure You by Your covenant and Your promise. O Allah, if You will, You will not be worshipped after today.' Abu Bakr took him by the hand and said, 'Enough, O Messenger of Allah, for you have implored your Lord persistently.' He was wearing the coat of mail, and he came out saying, 'The assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs. Nay, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is more calamitous and more bitter.'
