حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَلَّاقٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ مَوْلًى لِآلِ بُسْرٍ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتِي فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا وَأَجِرْنِي مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ» وَقَالَ «مَنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ دُعَاءَهُ مَاتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصِيبَهُ الْبَلَاءُ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “O Allah, make my final outcome good in all matters, and protect me from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter.” And he said: “Whoever makes this his supplication will die before affliction befalls him.”
