حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُهْزَاذٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ عَصَبَةٌ وَكَانَ لَهُ مَوْلًى هُوَ أَعْتَقَهُ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَغْضَبُ لِغَضَبِهِ وَيَرْضَى لرِضَاهُ؟» قَالُوا بَلَى وأَوْرَثَهُ مَالَ مَوْلَاهُ

✧ A man from the Bedouins died and had no male relatives, but he had a freedman whom he had set free. That was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Was he not angry when he was angry and pleased when he was pleased?" They said, "Yes," so he made his freedman inherit his wealth.
