حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْباعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَاضِعٍ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صَفْحَةِ شَاةٍ وَهُوَ يَحُدُّ شَفْرَتَهُ وَهِيَ تَلْحَظُ إِلَيْهِ بِبَصرِها قَالَ «أَفَلَا قَبْلَ هَذَا أَوَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُمِيتَهَا مَوْتَتَانِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man who had put his foot on the side of a sheep while sharpening his blade, and it was looking at him with its eyes. He said, "Why not before this? Do you want to kill it twice?"
