حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ نُصَيْرٍ ثنا هِشَامُ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَفْتَخِرُوا بِآبَائِكُمِ الَّذِينَ مُوِّتُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَمَا يُدَحْرِجُ الْجُعَلُ بِأَنْفِهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ آبَائِكُمِ الَّذِينَ مُوِّتُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not boast about your forefathers who died during the Jahiliyyah. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, what the beetle rolls with its nose is better than your forefathers who died during the Jahiliyyah.”
