حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَطَبَ فَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُسْمِعِ النِّسَاءَ فَأَتَاهُنَّ فَوَعَظَهُنَّ وَقَالَ «تَصَدَّقْنَ» فَجَعَلْتِ الْمَرْأَةُ تُلْقِي الْخَاتَمَ وَالْقُرْطَ وَالْخُرْصَ وَالشيءَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَجَمَعَهُ فِي ثِيَابِهِ حَتَّى أَمْضَاهُ

✧ I witnessed Eid with the Prophet ﷺ and he delivered a sermon. He thought that the women hadn't heard, so he called them and advised them, saying, "Give in charity." Then, the women started giving their rings, earrings, necklaces, and even their garments. The Prophet commanded Bilal to collect them in his garment until he distributed them.
