حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُنْذِرٍ الْقَزَّازُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
كُنْتُ نَائِمًا فَأَتَيْتُ فَقِيلَ لِي إِنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ فَقُمْتُ وَأَنَا نَاعِسٌ فَتَعَلَّقَتْ رِجْلَيَّ بِبَعْضِ أَطْنَابِ فُسْطَاطِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَظَرْتُ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ فَإِذَا هِيَ لَيْلَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ «وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيِّ»

✧ I was sleeping, and I was approached and told: “Tonight is the Night of Decree.” So I got up while drowsy, and my foot caught on one of the ropes of the tent of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing praying. Ibn Abbas said: I looked into the night, and it was the twenty-third night. “The wording is that of the hadith of Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi.”
