حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
«إِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ قَدْ رَأَى رَبَّهُ» قَالَ عِكْرِمَةُ يَا أَبَا عَبَّاسٍ أَلَيْسَ اللهُ يَقُولُ {لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الْأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الْأَبْصَارَ} فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «لَا أُمَّ لَكَ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ إِذَا خَلَا بكَيْفيةٍ لَمْ يَقُمْ لَهُ بَصَرٌ»

✧ "Indeed, Muhammad ﷺ has seen his Lord." Ikrimah said, "O Abu Abbas, does Allah not say: 'Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision'?" Ibn Abbas replied, "I swear by your mother, that is only when He is in a manner that cannot be comprehended by sight."
