حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُرَغِّبُ فِي صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ حَتَّى قَالَ «وَلَوْ رَكْعَةً» ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا رَجُلٌ يُصَلِّي وَالصَّلَاةُ تُقَامُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَصَلَاتَانِ مَعًا؟»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would encourage night prayer, to the extent that he said, “Even if it is one rak'ah.” Then he went out for the prayer, and there was a man praying while the prayer was being established. The Messenger of God ﷺ said, “Two prayers together?”
