حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَإِذَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَامَ فَخَطَبَ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would deliver the sermon on Friday, on the day of Fitr, and on the day of Adha from the minbar. When the mu'adhdhin fell silent on Friday, he would stand and deliver the sermon.
