حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطرائفيُّ ثنا أَبْيَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْمَقْدِسِيُّ عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اتَّخِذُوا السُّودَانَ فَإِنَّ ثَلَاثَةً مِنْهُمْ مِنْ ساداتِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ لُقْمَانُ الْحَكِيمُ وَالنَّجَاشِيُّ وَبِلَالٌ الْمُؤَذِّنُ» قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ «أَرَادَ الْحَبَشَ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Take the blacks [as brothers], for three of them are among the leaders of the people of Paradise: Luqmān the wise, the Najāshī, and Bilāl the muezzin.” Abū al-Qāsim said: “He meant the Abyssinians.”
