حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «قَطَعَ الْأَوْدِيَةَ وَجَاءَ بِالْهَدْي فَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْكَعْبَةِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ فَأَخِّرُوا طَوَافَكُمْ حَتَّى تَرْجِعُوا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ cut off the access to the valleys and came with the sacrificial animal, but he was unable to perform tawaf around the Kaaba and between Safa and Marwa. As for you, the people of Mecca, delay your tawaf until you return.
