حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ إِنِّي سَأَلْتُ اللهَ لَكُمْ ثَلَاثًا سَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ يُثَبِّتَ قَائِمَكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمَ جَاهِلَكُمْ وَيَهْدِي ضالَّكُمْ وَسَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ يَجْعَلَكُمْ جُوَداءَ نُجَداءَ رُحَمَاءَ فَلَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا صَفَنَ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ وَصَلَّى وَصَامَ ثُمَّ مَاتَ وَهُوَ مُبْغِضٌ لِأَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَرَضِي عَنْهُمْ دَخَلَ النَّارَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "O Banu ʿAbd al-Muttalib, I asked Allah for three things for you: I asked Him to make your standing firm, to teach your ignorant, and to guide your astray; and I asked Him to make you generous, noble, and merciful. If a man were to stand between the Corner and the Maqam, pray, and fast, and then die hating the family of Muhammad ﷺ and being pleased with them, he would enter the Fire."
