حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَرِدْفُهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَجَالَتْ بِهِ النَّاقَةُ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَيْهِ لَا يُجَاوِزَانِ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ سَارَ عَلَى هَيْئَتِهِ إِلَى جَمْعٍ وَرِدْفُهُ الْفَضْلُ فَمَا زَالَ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Arafah with Usama b. Zayd riding behind him. The she-camel swerved with him while he raised his hands, not letting them go above his head. Then he continued in the same manner until Muzdalifah, with al-Fadl riding behind him. He did not stop reciting the talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at Jamrah.
