✧ From Abū Muḥammad al-Jazarī, who is Ḥamzah al-Naṣībī, from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever supports falsehood to thereby invalidate a truth has disowned the protection of Allah and the protection of His Messenger. Whoever walks to the authority of Allah to humiliate it, Allah will humiliate him along with the disgrace He stores for him on the Day of Resurrection. The authority of Allah is the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet. Whoever is given authority over any matter of the Muslims and appoints over them a man while knowing that among them there is someone more deserving of it and more knowledgeable of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger than him, has betrayed Allah, His Messenger, and all the believers. Whoever abandons the needs of the people, Allah will not look into his need until he fulfills their needs and gives them their due. Whoever consumes a dirham of ribā, it is like thirty-three acts of zinā. Whoever's flesh is nourished by unlawful gain, the Fire is more fitting for him."
