حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ثنا عَتَّابُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ وَلَا عَاقٌّ وَلَا مَنَّانٌ» قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ لِأَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُصِيبُونَ ذُنُوبًا حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ فِي الْعَاقِّ {فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَنْ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ} الْآيَةُ وَفِي الْمَنَّانِ {لَا تُبْطِلُوا صَدَقَاتِكُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَالْأَذَى} الْآيَةَ وَفِي الْخَمْرِ {إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ}
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A habitual drinker of wine, an undutiful child, and one who constantly reminds others of his favors will not enter Paradise." Ibn ʿAbbās said: This distressed me because believers commit sins, until I found that in the Book of Allah: regarding the undutiful child, {So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your ties of kinship?}; regarding the one who reminds of favors, {Do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury}; and regarding wine, {Indeed, wine, gambling, stone altars, and divining arrows are only defilement} up to His saying {so avoid it}.
