حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْكِنَانِيِّ قَالَ

كَانَ هُوَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَتَوَضَّآنِ مِنْ مَطْهَرَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَازَعَا فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْمُوقَيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»

✧ He and a man from Quraysh were performing ablution from the water container of the mosque, and they disputed about wiping over the leather socks. Bilal said: 'The Prophet ﷺ used to wipe over the leather socks and the turban.'
