حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقراطيسيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَاوُسًا قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَا يُسْمَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَنَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَرْبَعِ»

✧ I heard Ibn ʿAbbās say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a supplication that is not heard, from a heart that does not humble itself, and from a soul that is not satisfied. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from these four.”
