حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا يَقُولُ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْإِقْعَاءِ عَلَى الْقَدَمَيْنِ قَالَ «هِي السُّنَّةُ» فَقُلْتُ إِنَّا لَنَرَاهُ جَفَاءً بِالرَّجُلِ فَقَالَ «هِي سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكَ ﷺ»

✧ He heard Ṭāwūs say: I said to Ibn ʻAbbās about sitting on the two heels, and he said: “It is the Sunnah.” I said: “We consider it harsh for a man.” He said: “It is the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ.”
