حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْعَيْشِيُّ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِأَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِمًا فِي الشَّمْسِ وَلَا يَسْتَظِلُّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا لَهُ؟» قَالُوا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَقُومَ وَلَا يَسْتَظِلَّ وَلَا يُفْطِرَ قَالَ «مُرُوهُ فَلْيَجْلِسْ وَلْيَسْتَظِلَّ وَلْيُفْطِرْ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque on Friday and saw Abu Isra'il standing in the sun without seeking shade. The Prophet ﷺ said, "What is the matter with him?" They said, "He vowed to stand and not seek shade and not break his fast." He said, "Command him to sit, seek shade, and break his fast."
