حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ
أَنَّ نَاعِمًا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ حِمَارًا مَوْسُومَ الْوَجْهِ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَوَاللهِ لَا أَسِمُهُ إِلَّا أَقْصَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْوَجْهِ فَأَمَرَ بِحِمَارٍ لَهُ فَكُوِيَ فِي جَاعِرَتَيْهِ

✧ Na'im, Abu Abdullah, the freed slave of Umm Salamah, narrated to him that he heard Ibn Abbas say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a donkey branded on the face and disapproved of that. The man said: By Allah, I will not brand it except on the farthest part of the face. So he ordered for a donkey of his, and it was cauterized on its two haunches.
