حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓماُ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ؟ إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالَّذِي يَتْلُوهُ؟ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي غَنَمِهِ يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ اللهِ فِيهَا وَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ النَّاسِ؟ رَجُلٌ يُسْأَلُ بِاللهِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِهِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Shall I not tell you who the best of people is? Among the best of people is a man holding the bridle of his horse in the path of God. Shall I tell you who comes after him? A man isolated with his flock, fulfilling God’s right concerning it. And shall I tell you who the worst of people is? A man who is asked by God but does not give by Him.”
