حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عَاصِمٌ فِي ذَلِكَ قَوْلًا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ عَاصِمٌ مَا ابْتُلِيتُ بِهَذَا إِلَّا بِقَوْلٍ فَذَهَبَ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِالَّذِي وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ امْرَأَتَهُ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ مُصْفَرًّا قَلِيلَ اللَّحْمِ سَبْطَ الشَّعْرِ وَكَانَ الَّذِي ادَّعَى أَنَّهُ وَجَدَهُ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ أُحَيْمِرَ كَثِيرَ اللَّحْمِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ» فَوَضَعَتْ شَبِيهًا بِالَّذِي ذَكَرَ زَوْجُهَا أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا فَلَاعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ بَيْنَهُمَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ هِيَ الَّتِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ كُنْتُ رَاجِمًا امْرَأَةً بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ لَرَجَمْتُ هَذِهِ» ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَا تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ كَانَتْ تُظْهِرُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ

✧ That he mentioned the two who engaged in liʿān in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and ʿĀṣim said something about that, then left. A man from his people came to him and mentioned that he had found a man with his wife. ʿĀṣim said, “I was not afflicted with this except because of my own statement.” So he took him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him of what he had found with his wife. That man was pale-skinned, thin-fleshed, with lank hair, while the one he claimed to have found with his wife was reddish, fleshy. The Prophet ﷺ said, “O Allah, make it clear.” She gave birth to a child resembling the one her husband mentioned he had found with her, so the Messenger of Allah conducted the liʿān between them. A man said to Ibn ʿAbbās in the gathering, “Is she the one about whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘If I were to stone a woman without clear evidence, I would have stoned this one’?” Ibn ʿAbbās said, “No. That was a woman who used to display herself openly in Islam.”
