حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
عُرِضَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا هُوَ مَفْتُوحٌ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ كَفْرًا كَفْرًا فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى} فَأَعْطَاهُ اللهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَلْفَ قَصْرٍ فِي كُلِّ قَصْرٍ مَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ مِنَ الْوِلْدَانِ وَالْخَدَمِ

✧ What would be conquered for his ummah after him, generation after generation, was shown to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he was pleased with that. Then Allah ﷻ revealed {And your Lord will surely give you, and you will be pleased.} So Allah gave him in Paradise a thousand palaces, in each palace whatever befits it of youths and servants.
